Car Thief Entered Home Through Basement Window

CLIFTON, NJ – An unidentified individual armed with a handgun forcefully entered a residence on Haussler Terrace on Sunday morning at approximately 3:30 AM.

According to police reports, the suspect manipulated a basement window to gain access to the house. Inside, the burglar seized a key fob tied to a 2022 BMW M5, parked in the driveway, and proceeded to abscond with the vehicle.

Prior to the burglary, the suspect and possible accomplices were spotted arriving in a silver, 4-door sedan, possibly a Hyundai Elantra. The location of both vehicles remains a mystery as they have yet to be found. As of now, no detailed description of the suspect is available due to a facial covering.

The police remind residents, particularly those residing along the Route 3 corridor, west of Bloomfield Ave, to be alert and to promptly report any suspicious activity or individuals.
