Police Investigating Armed Robbery of Man in Parked Car

BROOKLYN, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance to identify four individuals and two vehicles involved in a robbery that occurred on Wednesday, July 19. The crime took place in front of 328 Dean Street.

A 58-year-old male was robbed while sitting inside his parked vehicle. Two unknown vehicles, a gray Nissan Altima and a black Hyundai Elantra, arrived at the location.

The Nissan Altima’s operator did not exit the vehicle, but used the vehicle to assist the Hyundai Elantra in blocking in the victim’s vehicle.

The Hyundai Elantra had three occupants, two of whom exited the vehicle, threatened the victim with a firearm, and proceeded to take his car keys, cellphone, and wallet containing approximately $4,000 and assorted debit cards.

The individuals fled the scene in the Hyundai Elantra, which was last seen heading southbound on 5th Avenue. The Nissan Altima was seen heading eastbound on Dean Street. The NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) is open for any information related to this incident.
