NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department’s Robbery Unit is seeking assistance from the public in identifying four individuals connected to an attempted robbery case in East Harlem.
On Thursday, July 13, around 5:05 pm, a 27-year-old male Amazon employee was in the midst of delivering packages outside 402 East 117th Street.
According to the police report, the four unknown male individuals approached the employee, and one asked about the contents of his bag. Moments later, another individual struck the victim on the head with a glass bottle.
The assault continued as the group chased the victim towards 1st Avenue, kicking and punching him. The assailants fled on foot, heading eastbound on East 117th Street toward Pleasant Avenue.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he received treatment for head injuries. Currently, the Robbery Unit is actively searching for the assailants and asked anyone with information to reach out at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
