New Jersey Day Laborer Charged for Sexual Attacks on Child

ELMWOOD PARK, NJ – Alejandro Suaza-Munoz, a 35-year-old day laborer residing in Elmwood Park, has been recently arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and criminal sexual contact.

The charges stem from an investigation led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Elmwood Park Police Department.

On Tuesday, the Elmwood Park Police Department reached out to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit about a reported sexual assault involving a minor. The investigation revealed that Suaza-Munoz had sexually assaulted a child, aged between 13 and 16, on multiple occasions in Elmwood Park.

Subsequent to the investigation, Suaza-Munoz was arrested in Paramus, NJ, later that Tuesday. He faces charges of third-degree child endangerment and three counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

He is currently being held at the Bergen County Jail, awaiting his first court appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
