RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ – Humberto Duenas, a 61-year-old resident of Ridgefield Park, has been arrested and charged with serious crimes including aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
The arrest was a result of a joint investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, led by Chief Jason Love, and the Ridgefield Park Police Department, under Chief Joseph Rella.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit first received information about the alleged crimes on Tuesday, July 11. The reported sexual assault incidents involved a victim under the age of thirteen. The following day, information regarding an additional victim of the same age bracket was received.
As the investigation unfolded, Duenas was arrested on Thursday, in Paramus, NJ. He now faces multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree aggravated sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault, and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Following his arrest, Duenas was taken to the Bergen County Jail, awaiting his first court appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court, Hackensack, NJ.
While Duenas is currently under arrest, Prosecutor Mark Musella emphasized that the charges against him are still accusations.
