73-Year-Old Man Robbed, Pushed Down Inside NYC Subway Station

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is investigating a robbery incident that took place last Tuesday.

The crime occurred at around 2:06 pm when a 73-year-old man was ascending the stairs at the Sutphin Boulevard & Parsons/Hillside Avenue subway station. Two unidentified male individuals, one acting as a look-out, followed the victim and forcibly grabbed his right rear pocket, causing him to fall.

The individuals proceeded to remove the victim’s wallet and fled the scene. They later made an unauthorized transaction of approximately $62 using the victim’s Chase debit card to purchase tobacco products at a local deli.

The victim sustained minor scratches to his right elbow but declined medical attention at the scene.

The first individual was seen wearing a white T-shirt, black pants, and a gold chain. The second individual was seen wearing a black T-shirt, black pants, and a blue face mask. The New York City Police Department is currently seeking information on the whereabouts of these individuals.
