Man Charged for Firing at SEPTA Bus in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Heriberto Acevedo, Jr. has been recently charged by the District Attorney’s Office following an investigation by SEPTA Police.

The incident occurred on July 14, around 5:55 am on the 4200 block of North Front Street.

Acevedo allegedly threatened a SEPTA bus driver over fare payment.

After leaving the bus, a bullet hit a bus window, though no injuries were reported. Surveillance footage helped identify Acevedo as the alleged shooter.

He was arrested on Tuesday. Acevedo faces multiple charges, including Aggravated Assault and Violation of the Uniform Firearms Act. He is prohibited from owning a firearm due to previous convictions.
