NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying an individual connected to a grand larceny incident on Monday, July 24.
At approximately 11:38 am, a 67-year-old female was at Cathedral Place and Jay Street when she momentarily placed her purse atop her baby carriage.
An unidentified male suspect took the purse and made his escape on foot. The stolen items, including credit cards and a cellphone, are valued at around $550.
The male suspect is described as having a dark complexion, aged between 45 to 50, of medium build, bald, and was last seen dressed in a dark brown and black collared shirt, light-colored jeans, black sneakers, and a black face mask. He also carried a black book bag.
The New York City Police Department seeks information from those who might have witnessed the event or recognize the suspect. Witnesses and informants are asked to reach out.
