Arrest Made in Millville Murder Investigation

BRIDGETON, NJ – An update has been provided regarding the homicide investigation in the city of Millville.

On Tuesday, July 25, at around 4:44PM, Salmadine Johnson, 40, was found deceased on the 600 block of High Street, Millville, NJ, following reports of shots fired.

Marlon D. Thompson, 50, of West Depot Street, Millville, NJ, was charged on Friday, July 28, with First Degree Murder, Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (Handgun), and Second Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. The State will move for detention.

On Tuesday, Thompson was arrested without incident in Roselle by the US Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Fugitive Task Force and the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office.
