Two Arrested for Shooting 14-Year-Old in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY – The New York City Police Department reported two arrests related to an assault that recently occurred.

On Tuesday, at 7:00 AM, 20-year-old Bryant Brown from 110 Chauncey Street was arrested and charged with attempted murder, attempted assault, assault, and other related offenses.

Additionally, on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, 20-year-old John Felton (18 at the time of the arrest), also from Chauncey Street, was arrested in relation to the same incident. Felton faces charges including assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and other related offenses.

The initial event leading to these arrests occurred on Monday, February 28, 2022. A 14-year-old male was walking at Fulton Street and Utica Avenue when he sustained a gunshot wound to his ankle. He was later treated at Maimonides Hospital.

The NYPD is actively seeking further information about two unidentified male individuals believed to be involved. Those with relevant knowledge are asked to reach out to the Crime Stoppers Hotline.
