Fatal Shooting in Northeast D.C

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 71-year-old man was fatally shot late on Monday morning in Northeast D.C. Detectives from the D.C. Metro Police Department are now asking for assistance from the public in identifying the suspect behind the shooting.

Police officers responded to a shooting report just before 11:30 am. On arrival at the 800 block of 10th Street, the officers found an adult male who had been shot. Upon assessment, there were no signs of life, and he was declared dead at the location.

The victim has been identified as Mr. Eddie Curtis, 71, a resident of Northeast, D.C.

A surveillance camera captured the suspect.
