44-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 44-year-old man that happened yesterday morning in Southeast D.C.

Responding to a report of a shooting shortly after 9 am, officers discovered an adult male with gunshot wounds at the 2200 block of 16th Street. He was quickly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, but unfortunately, all attempts to save his life were unsuccessful, and he succumbed to his injuries.

44-year-old Robert Ferguson of Silver Spring, Maryland, was identified as the victim.
