Newark Police Seek Woman Wanted for Aggravated Assault

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé has announced that an arrest warrant is out for Denise S. Spann, a 37-year-old resident of Garfield.

Spann is wanted for an aggravated assault that took place in the 600 block of South 18th Street on Tuesday, August 1.

Spann is described as 4’9″ tall, weighing 150 pounds, with a medium brown complexion. She remains at large and is considered a person of interest in this ongoing investigation.

The Newark Police Division is actively searching for Spann and requests the public’s assistance. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).

All tips received through the Crime Stopper line are kept confidential and may result in a reward for information leading to an arrest.
