Lacey Fire Sparked by Plane Crash Spreads to Over 800 Acres

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ – A wildfire, initially ignited by a small plane crash near Robert J. Miller Airpark this weekend, has grown to 831 acres but is now 70% contained, according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.

Roads in the immediate vicinity have been affected. Dover Rd is closed from Lacey Rd to Pinewald Keswick Rd, and Mule Rd is similarly closed from Lacey Rd to Pinewald Keswick Rd.

The wildfire currently threatens 25 structures in the area. Efforts to contain the fire continue.
