Man Shot Five Times, Survives in Columbus County

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC – Two people were injured in a shooting that occurred on Monday, around noon on Georgia Pacific Road.

According to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, a man was shot five times and was taken to Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

A woman was shot once and was taken to Columbus Regional in Whiteville.

The incident is still under investigation, and no suspects have been identified as of 4:07 p.m.

Residents with information about the shooting are asked to contact the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office.
