South Amboy Hosts Third Annual Irish Festival

SOUTH AMBOY, NJ – The Third Annual Irish Festival took place at Waterfront Park, offering a mix of food, crafts, and entertainment while overlooking the Raritan Bay.

The event, free to the public, featured a diverse lineup of performers including the D. B. Kelly Pipes and Drums, The Willie Lynch Band, The Snakes Irish Rock Band, and The Bawtry Boys. An Irish Schools of Dance demonstration added cultural depth to the festivities. A Kids Zone included free face painting, rock wall, games, rides, and a puppet show.

A beer garden and various food and craft vendors were present, fulfilling a range of tastes and interests. The festival also offered free transportation to and from parking areas scattered around the city. With paved sidewalks and parking, the event was accessible to those with handicaps.

Interested vendors were invited to contact the event organizers for participation, ensuring a vibrant mix of local crafts and goods. Overall, the event succeeded in providing a comprehensive, family-friendly experience rooted in Irish culture.
