Bronx Man Arrested for Murder of Jyleal Conner

BRONX, NY – Angel Silva, a 47-year-old male residing at 1727 East 172 Street, was arrested and charged on Tuesday at approximately 2:45 pm by the New York City Police Department.

Silva faces charges of murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.

The arrest is connected to a homicide that took place on Saturday, August 26, at around 11:35 am. Two unidentified individuals approached Jyleal Conner, a 36-year-old male, near East 149 Street and Bergen Avenue.

Conner was stabbed multiple times and later pronounced dead at NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln.

The New York City Police Department has released media depicting individuals sought in connection to this homicide. The public is asked to provide any information by calling NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
