Playstation Sale Goes Wrong After Buyer Threatens Gun

LINTHICUM, MD – A conversation about selling a PlayStation took a dark turn when a suspect implied he had a firearm and robbed a citizen on Winterson Road in Linthicum.

On the evening of September 5, Anne Arundel County Police officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 1200 block of Winterson Road. The victim stated that while talking to a friend, a third individual joined them. The conversation escalated when the victim offered to sell a PlayStation.

The suspect then accused the victim of scamming him, implied he had a weapon, and demanded the victim’s backpack.

The suspect is described as a Black male, aged 16-18, wearing a gray t-shirt and red shorts, and having a neck tattoo.

The suspect fled the scene on foot before officers arrived. Northern District detectives are actively investigating the incident and encourage anyone with information to contact 410-222-6135 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.
