Suspect Charged for NYC Subway Attack

NEW YORK CITY, NY – On Tuesday, at 10:25 am, Norton Blake, a 43-year-old male, was arrested and charged with assault.

The arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into an assault that occurred on Friday.

At around 3:19 am, a 60-year-old female was attacked at the West 116 Street and Lenox Avenue subway station. Blake is accused of striking the victim with a cane, causing swelling and pain.

The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition.

The New York City Police Department is asking for additional information from the public regarding this case.
