Elderly Man Suffers Facial Fractures, Hearing Loss After Attack in East New York

NEW YORK, NY – A 73-year-old man suffered facial fractures and loss of hearing and vision after he was assaulted during a verbal altercation on Blake Avenue and Milford Street.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, August 29, when an unidentified male approached the victim. Following a verbal dispute, the assailant struck the victim multiple times in the head and face. The victim was privately transported to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center for treatment.

The suspect fled the scene in a dark gray four-door sedan, heading east on Blake Avenue and then turning north onto Logan Street. Authorities have described the individual as a male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a red and black t-shirt marked with a yellow letter “H” on the front.

Police are actively investigating the incident and urge anyone with information to come forward.
