NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual connected to an assault that occurred last Thursday.
At around 1:30 pm, a 20-year-old male was walking southbound on Lafayette Street when he was approached from behind and stabbed twice in the back. The assailant fled the scene on foot, heading south on Lafayette Street.
The victim, who suffered puncture wounds, sought medical attention privately. The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’9″ tall, with a light complexion and medium build.
He has long hair tied in a ponytail and was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, black pants, and black sneakers.
The New York City Police Department is actively investigating this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department.
