Oxford Police Officer Suffers Injuries While Executing Warrant

OXFORD, PA – An update from Thursday, reveals that an Oxford Borough Police Officer, who was injured while attempting to arrest Jamie Jimenez-Juarex, has been released from the hospital.

The incident took place on Wednesday, around 3:45PM near the unit block of Niblock Alley. The officer, in full uniform and driving a marked patrol vehicle, tried to arrest Jimenez-JuarexZ based on a Driving Under the Influence warrant issued by the Pennsylvania State Police Avondale barracks.

Jimenez-Juarex, after confirming his identity, allegedly fled on foot, leading to a chase. During the pursuit, the officer fell approximately twenty feet down an embankment, hitting his head on a hard surface and losing consciousness.

He was immediately transported to a trauma hospital due to the severity of his injuries. Video footage has further confirmed Jimenez-Juarex’s identity.

Multiple charges have been filed against him. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the dispatcher at 610-268-3171.
