NYPD Seeks Suspect Who Through Glass at Employees in Midtown Shop

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual connected to a robbery in Midtown South.

The incident took place on Thursday, at around 11:49 pm inside 532 9th Avenue.

An unidentified male initiated a verbal altercation with two male employees. Following the dispute, the man shattered a glass display and hurled the glass at the employees.

Simulating possession of a firearm, he took approximately $500 in cash from the register along with other items. The suspect then fled on foot, heading north on 9 Avenue and subsequently east on 40 Street. No injuries were reported from the incident.

The individual in question is described as a male with a medium complexion, black beard, and black hair styled in a Caesar cut. He was last spotted wearing a green jersey. Anyone with information is asked to contact the New York City Police Department.
