Three Suspects Sought in Newark Gas Station Robbery

NEWARK, NJ – Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects involved in an armed robbery at a Shell Gas Station on Heller Parkway.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:00 a.m. today when three Black males entered the station. One suspect, armed with a handgun, went behind the counter and demanded money from the cash register. When the employee refused, the suspect struck him in the head, causing a laceration.

Suspect #2 then took money from the register, and all three men fled the scene, running southbound on N. 6th Street.

The injured employee received treatment for a laceration at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
