Two Shooting Incidents Leave Two Dead, One Injured in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ – On Sunday morning, two distinct shooting episodes occurred, resulting in the death of two individuals and injury to another.

The first incident was reported at around 6:36 a.m. at the intersection of Park Avenue and East 22nd Street. Here, a 19-year-old city man was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds and was later declared deceased at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.

The second event transpired at approximately 12:28 p.m. on Highland Street and Park Place. In this incident, a 19-year-old city male and a 42-year-old city female were both injured by gunshots.

They were transported to a medical facility where the male was pronounced dead, while the female’s injuries were deemed non-fatal.

The Paterson Police Detective Bureau is actively seeking further information on both cases and encourages the public to reach out at 973-321-1120.
