UTICA, NY – The Utica Police Department has brought charges against a contractor after a complaint was lodged in mid-September. A local resident reported paying Allen Morey, 48, of Utica, an upfront fee of $2500 for home repairs. Despite the payment, no work was initiated, and Morey ceased all communication.

After several failed attempts to reach out to Morey over the following months, the resident approached the Utica Police Department for assistance.

The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division. Consequently, on October 3rd, Allen Morey was formally charged in connection to the reported incident.
