Another Deadly Shooting in Paterson: One Dead, Two Injured

PATERSON, NJ – An incident unfolded in Paterson on Tuesday evening when a 23-year-old Riverdale man was shot dead and two others were injured near Rosa Parks Boulevard and Broadway.

The injured include a 19-year-old from Elmwood Park, currently in critical condition, and a 52-year-old Paterson resident, who is stable.

This marks the fourth deadly shooting in the city within a span of just three days.

Local officials, including Mayor Andre Sayegh, are deeply concerned and are requesting an emergency meeting with the Attorney General’s Office.

Paterson City Council Member Mike Jackson expressed his frustration, highlighting underreported shooting incidents, while City Council President Alex Mendez voiced concerns over escalating fear among the city’s residents.
