NYPD Officer Accidentally Discharges Gun During Fight in Flatbush

BROOKLYN, NY – Early Sunday, near the corner of Snyder and Bedford Avenues in Flatbush, an NYPD officer got caught in a suspect’s car and accidentally discharged his weapon.

Around 4 a.m., officers arrived following a reported fight. A local resident claimed the suspect had pointed a gun at him.

Video footage shows the unidentified officer approaching the suspect’s car. As the officer reached in with his weapon drawn, the car sped off, dragging him momentarily.

The gun went off accidentally during the commotion. The confrontation occurred outside the “Afrika House” nightclub.

Witnesses described a dispute among patrons before police arrived. The suspect remains at large.
