ShotSpotter Gunshot Detection System Leads Trenton Police to Suspect

TRENTON, N.J. – The Trenton Police Department has reported the arrest of Raheem Ellis, 41, following an incident on September 25.

Around 5:45 PM, a shot spotter detected ten rounds on the 100 block of Chambers Street.

Arriving officers found shell casings at the scene.

The subsequent investigation by the Mercer County Shooting Response Team identified Ellis as the alleged shooter, targeting an unknown individual.

 Ellis was taken into custody in Trenton and is facing various weapons charges.
