On Thursday night, a shooting incident was reported at the Roxbury Motel on Route 46, Roxbury, leaving one man injured. The local authorities were alerted about the incident around 8:54 p.m.
Upon arrival, Roxbury Police officers discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound to his leg and promptly administered critical medical aid. The victim was then transported to a nearby medical facility with serious, albeit non-life-threatening injuries.
Following the preliminary investigation, it was determined that the perpetrator(s) had vacated the premises shortly after the shooting.
The investigation is being carried on actively with members from the Roxbury Police Department, Morris County Sheriff’s Office – Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and Morris County Prosecutor’s Office closely involved.
