Elderly Woman Assaulted and Robbed in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY — A 73-year-old woman was punched multiple times and robbed on Nevins Street last Friday evening, according to police reports.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:25 p.m. outside 4 Nevins Street. An unidentified female approached the elderly victim and assaulted her, landing punches on her face and body. The assailant then snatched the victim’s pocketbook and fled the scene on foot. She was last seen heading north towards Flatbush Avenue.

The victim sustained cuts and experienced substantial pain to her face as a result of the attack.

The suspect is described as a female in her early 20s with a dark complexion, standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall. She was wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants, and yellow sneakers at the time of the incident.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crime or the suspect to come forward. The investigation remains ongoing.
