Man Found Shot Dead in Hampton

HAMPTON, VA- Hampton Police are currently investigating a Thursday incident where a man was found with a single gunshot wound.

A call came in around 3:35 p.m. about a man “down” on the 900 block of Mason Street. Responding officers discovered the man already succumbed to his injuries.

The Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue declared the man dead at the site of the incident.

The Major Crimes Unit of the Hampton Police Department oversees this ongoing investigation.
