Arson Suspect Arrested for Suspicious Fire

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ — Galloway Township Police Department officials announced the arrest of Ada Gong, 35, of Millville, NJ, on charges related to a structure fire deemed suspicious by authorities.

The fire, which occurred on March 7 in the 400 block of Dennis Drive, was investigated by Arson Investigators Sergeant First Class Kevin Welsh and Detective Fenil Gandhi, leading to the initiation of a criminal investigation after the fire was extinguished and deemed suspicious.

Through forensic evidence and witness statements, Detective Gandhi identified Gong as a suspect. On November 2, a warrant for her arrest was issued, and Gong was apprehended without incident at her residence in Millville.

Charges against Gong include Aggravated Arson, Burglary to a Structure, and Criminal Mischief. Following her arrest, Gong was detained at the Atlantic County Justice Facility, where she awaits a court hearing.
