Wilmington Drug Deal Gone Wrong Ends with Two-Shot

WILMINGTON, NC – A reported drug transaction led to a double shooting early last Wednesday in the 300 block of Calhoun Drive.

The Wilmington Police Department received a call around 5 a.m. and found two individuals with gunshot wounds. Both victims have been transported to Novant NHRMC in critical condition.

Evidence and testimonies gathered thus far indicate the shooting was the result of illegal drug activity.

The Wilmington Police Department’s detectives are piecing together the events that unfolded and have asked public assistance in the matter.
