The emergency call, made from the college’s Residence Halls, prompted immediate action by MVCC and the Utica Police. Evacuation and safety measures were enforced while authorities conducted a campus-wide search.

The investigation concluded with no evidence of the reported threat. MVCC officials have confirmed the safety of students, faculty, staff, and the community, affirming there was no danger at any point during the incident.

MVCC’s administration has announced that classes and campus activities will continue without interruption. The college has extended gratitude to everyone for their cooperation and acknowledged the swift response of law enforcement agencies involved.

Support services are available through the MVCC Counseling Center for students and the Human Resources department for employees. MVCC emphasizes its dedication to providing a secure campus environment.
