South Plainfield Man Arrested After He Killed Three Family Members

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – A triple homicide in South Plainfield, New Jersey, led to the arrest of 23-year-old Om Brahmbhatt.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire on Coppola Drive around 9 a.m. Monday, where they discovered three shooting victims.

The victims were two men and one woman, including 72-year-old Bindu Brahmbhatt.

Dilipkumar Brahmbhatt, 72, and Bindu Brahmbhatt were pronounced dead at the scene, while the third victim, 38-year-old Yashkumar Brahmbhatt, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Following an investigation, Om Brahmbhatt, a relative living with the victims, was apprehended at the scene. He faces three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. The investigation is continuing.
