Murderer Charged in Killing of 55-Year-Old Woman Inside Her Queens Apartment

NEW YORK, NY – An investigation by the New York City Police Department has led to the arrest of a suspect in a homicide case that occurred earlier this week.

On Tuesday, December 5, at approximately 5:13 PM, police responded to a 911 call at 32-32 96 Street in Queens, within the 115th Precinct. Upon arrival, they discovered a 55-year-old female, identified as Leo Zoraida, unconscious and unresponsive with scratches on her face inside an apartment.

Emergency Medical Services pronounced Zoraida deceased at the scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is tasked with determining the exact cause of death.

Following the ongoing investigation, police arrested 19-year-old Davi Vidal, a resident of the same address as the victim, on December 5, 2023.

Vidal has been charged with murder.
