WASHINGTON, D.C. – The mobs created and encouraged by politicians such as D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser have gone rogue and out of control. That uncontrollable response was felt by Bowser this week as she tried to welcome religious leaders from multiple faiths at a recent public appearance at the city’s mult-faith holiday party.

The group of activists disrupted Mayor Muriel Bowser and Council Chairperson Phil Mendelson’s holiday party in the John A. Wilson Building on Monday, calling for action on a critical peace issue.

During Mayor Bowser’s speech, protesters shouted, “Mayor Bowser pick a side! Ceasefire or Genocide!”

A sign reading “DC Council: Ceasefire Now!” was briefly displayed before the individual holding it was removed by police. The disturbance was overshadowed by singing from Bowser’s supporters.

The demonstration highlighted the perceived neglect by the D.C. Council and Mayor Bowser towards the Palestinian residents of the District and their apparent support for the Israeli government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Bowser asked the protesters multiple times to respect the ceremony, but was ignored as she continued on with her presentation being filtered out by the chants most of the time.
