Juvenile Arrested on Gun Charge After Chase in Dorchester

BOSTON, MA – A 17-year-old juvenile male was arrested on firearm-related charges by the Anti-Crime Unit of District B-3 (Mattapan) on Wednesday, at around 11:24 AM.

The arrest occurred near 505 Washington Street during a firearm investigation.

When approached by officers, the suspect fled on foot. An officer from the Dorchester District Court joined the pursuit.

Despite commands to stop and drop the firearm, the suspect continued to flee but was eventually apprehended without incident. The firearm was identified as a loaded Ruger 9mm.

Charges against the juvenile include unlawful possession of a firearm, ammunition, a large capacity feeding device, defacement of a firearm serial number, and trespassing. He will face these charges at Dorchester District Court.
