Police Warn New Jersey Car Theft Victims, Don’t Chase Perps

by Charlie Dwyer

DEAL, NJ – The Deal Police Department has issued a warning to residents about an increase in vehicle thefts and break-ins over the past several nights in the Deal area and surrounding regions.

Individuals operating stolen vehicles have been targeting unlocked doors and vehicles, seeking crimes of opportunity. These perpetrators have shown a blatant disregard for public safety and law enforcement. In response, the Deal Police Department urges residents to take preventive measures, including locking all doors and windows, removing key fobs and valuables from vehicles, and reporting any suspicious activities immediately.

Residents are also advised to activate alarm systems and turn on exterior lights for added security.

These criminals have been known to flee at high speeds when confronted by law enforcement, creating dangerous situations. The public is strongly discouraged from attempting to pursue these individuals, as this can escalate the risk and endanger more lives. The Deal Police Department is collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to address this issue effectively. Community cooperation is vital in these efforts.
