MACOMB COUNTY, MI — A 25-year-old woman from Macomb County experienced an incredible stroke of beginners’ luck, winning $150,000 the first time she played the Michigan Lottery’s Cashword instant game online.

The recent college graduate, who preferred to remain anonymous, decided to try her hand at the online game on MichiganLottery.com. “After a few plays, the amount of $150,000 appeared on the screen with fireworks, and I instantly started hyperventilating from shock and excitement! I still can’t believe that I won my very first time playing online,” she recounted.

She recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim her substantial prize. The timing of her win couldn’t be better, as she stated, “I just graduated from college last week, so winning this prize means I can already pay off all my student loans and it gives me a fresh start financially.”
