Berlin Woman Arrested by Delaware State Police for Felony Theft

DELAWARE — Delaware State Police arrested 63-year-old Beatrice Therres of Berlin, Maryland, on Wednesday for a felony theft that took place in Millsboro in September.

The incident occurred on September 17, 2023, around 1:57 p.m. at a residence on Flying Bridge Court in Millsboro, Delaware. Troopers responded to a theft report from a 68-year-old woman, who reported her purse containing personal items and money was stolen from her home.

Following an investigation, Beatrice Therres was identified as the suspect, leading to an arrest warrant. On December 23, 2023, Maryland authorities notified Delaware troopers of Therres’ custody in Maryland.

Therres was extradited to Delaware on January 3, 2024, and subsequently charged with “Theft Less than $1500 and Victim is Older than 62 Years of Age,” a felony. She was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on her own recognizance.
