NYPD Scrambles to Catch Armed Robbers in Luxury Getaway Car

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a series of robberies.

The first incident occurred on Sunday, December 3, around 5:40 pm in front of 1687 Croes Place. A 44-year-old man was approached by a suspect attempting to buy a chain in a social media-arranged transaction. The suspect, brandishing a firearm, robbed the victim of his wallet, bank card, and vehicle key, fleeing on foot. The suspect attempted to use the victim’s bank card at a commercial establishment on East 187 Street. He is described as a male, around 5’8″ tall, with a light mustache and a distinctive clock tattoo on his left hand.

In a related incident on Saturday, December 9, at approximately 11:30 am, a 49-year-old male was robbed at Ellis Avenue and Havemeyer Avenue by two individuals. They displayed a firearm and forcibly took the victim’s gold chain before escaping in a white 4-door Mercedes Benz. No injuries were reported.
