Rockland County Welcomes Seven New Legislators

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — In a significant moment for the Rockland County Legislature, seven newly-elected members were sworn in during its organizational meeting on Wednesday. This landmark event included the historic swearing-in of the first African American woman to the board.

The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by District Attorney Tom Walsh. Among those taking the oath of office were Legislator Jay Hood (Chairman), ANEY PAUL, Rockland County Legislator, District 14, and Clerk to the Legislature Laurence O. Toole.

The new members beginning their first terms are Paul Cleary (D-Garnerville), Ray Sheridan III (R-Pearl River), Beth Davidson (D-Nyack), Will Kennelly (R-Congers), Jesse Malowitz (D-Suffern), Tom Diviny (R-Pearl River), and Dana Greene Stilley (D-Piermont). Their induction marks a new chapter for the Rockland County Legislature.
