Harlem Shooting Leaves One Dead

HARLEM, NY – A 39-year-old man was discovered shot to death inside a vehicle in Harlem on Sunday night.

The shooting occurred near an apartment building at 619 West 135th St. around 6:30 p.m. Responding to emergency calls, officers found the victim in a parked, dark gray Honda Civic.

The man, seated in the driver’s seat, had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest.

He was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside Heights Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim’s identity is withheld pending family notification.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation by homicide detectives is ongoing. The NYPD asks anyone with information to come forward.
