Newark Man Charged with Human Trafficking

CHATHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office announced charges against Nafis H. Wiggins, 25, of Newark, New Jersey, for human trafficking and related crimes.

Between August 1 and September 28, 2023, Wiggins allegedly provided drugs to two minors, ages 14 and 15, in exchange for sexual favors.

He lured the victims via text messages, meeting them in Chatham Township and Borough to engage in drug use and sexual activity.

At his arrest on December 19, 2023, at Cougar Field in Chatham Township, he was found with controlled dangerous substances (CDS).

Wiggins faces charges including Human Trafficking, Luring, Sexual Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Possession of CDS. He is detained at the Morris County Correctional Facility. The Prosecutor’s Office asked anyone with information to contact the Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit.
