Can Involved in D.C. Shooting Caught On Camera

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is requesting public assistance in identifying a vehicle connected to a recent shooting in Southeast Washington, D.C. The incident occurred on Sunday night at around 10:32 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Malcolm X Avenue following reports of a shooting. On arrival, they found a victim with a gunshot wound. The victim, who was later transported to a local hospital for treatment, reported being shot in the 3000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.

Investigators have obtained surveillance footage showing the suspect’s vehicle. The MPD has not yet released details about the vehicle but is relying on public assistance to locate it.

The department urges anyone with information about the incident to contact the police at (202) 727-9099. Tips can also be sent anonymously via text to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
