Baltimore Police Apprehend Suspect in Central District Commercial Burglary

BALTIMORE, MD – The Baltimore Police Department has reported the arrest of a suspect following a commercial burglary in the Central District.

The incident occurred in the early hours yesterday morning at around 4:17 AM. Central District Patrol officers were dispatched to a business in the 400 block of East Pratt Street in response to a commercial burglary alarm.

Upon arrival, officers noticed signs of forced entry into the establishment. During their investigation, they observed a suspect, identified as 28-year-old Donavan Vernon, attempting to flee the scene on foot. Vernon was apprehended a short distance from the crime scene.

At the time of his arrest, Vernon was found in possession of property stolen from the business. He was subsequently transported to Central booking, where he was charged with burglary.

This arrest highlights the Baltimore Police Department’s ongoing efforts to address commercial burglaries and maintain public safety in the city’s Central District.
