New York City Cop Injured After Perp Flees During Traffic Stop, Striking Officer

New York, NY – A New York City police officer sustained injuries following a vehicle stop on Tuesday, January 23, at approximately 6:03 PM. The incident occurred on Harlem River Drive near West 159th Street.

During a routine traffic stop involving a Toyota Highlander, the vehicle in question collided with an officer. Subsequent to the collision, the occupants of the vehicle fled the scene, proceeding northbound on Harlem River Drive.

The officer, who suffered neck and back injuries, was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

The New York City Police Department is actively pursuing the suspects, described as light-complexioned males.
