Seminole County Resident Hits $1 Million Lottery Jackpot

Tallahassee, FL – Dezerick Kirkland, a 43-year-old from Altamonte Springs, has claimed a $1 million prize from the Florida Lottery’s $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game. Opting for a one-time, lump-sum payment, Kirkland will receive $640,000.00.

The winning ticket was purchased at a Publix supermarket located at 482 East Altamonte Drive in Altamonte Springs. For selling the lucky ticket, Publix will be awarded a $2,000 bonus commission.

Launched in February, the $50 Scratch-Off game offers players the chance to win one of two top prizes of $1 million a year for life, along with 234 prizes of $1 million. The game boasts more than $1.6 billion in cash prizes, with overall odds of winning set at 1-in-4.50.
